IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ.            Changes to service and procedures 25/03/2020

With the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we are making some changes to our opening hours and processes so that we can continue to provide EMERGENCY and URGENT care for your pet to the best of our capabilities. We are working with much reduced staffing levels so ask for your co-operation and patience.

Some of this information has already been given on our Facebook page but we have tried to collate everything here so please read this carefully.

 

CHANGE TO OPENING HOURS:

 

We are now available Mon to Fri from 9am to 5pm for advice and telephone consultations and to deal with medication requests. You may be asked to send information by email but speak to us first.  Please give us as much information as possible when you call about your pet so that we can decide on the most appropriate way to help.

 

On Saturday mornings we will be available 9am to 11am for advice and telephone consultations ONLY.

 

APPOINTMENTS AND OPERATIONS:

If your pet had an appointment or operation booked over the next few weeks, our staff will be in touch. There will be NO routine consultations such as boosters, nail clips etc. Any scheduled operations will be postponed. The British Veterinary Association and Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons have advised that we should be “providing emergency care only, fulfillment of urgent prescriptions”.

 

MEDICATION REQUESTS AND COLLECTION: (Mon to Fri only – not available on Saturdays)

 

CHECK WHAT YOU NEED NOW AND CALL US WHEN YOU HAVE ONE WEEK’S TREATMENT LEFT

for ongoing medication. We are still able to order and receive medication from our suppliers but some items may take up to a week to be delivered and ready to dispense.

 

ATTENDING THE CLINIC:

ONLY COME TO THE PRACTICE IF YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO OUR STAFF AND ARRANGED TO DO SO.

 

DO NOT ATTEND the practice if you are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus infection or if you or anyone in your household is in self isolation. Another adult, not living at the same address, can bring your pet. Please make sure staff are made aware that you are self isolating.

 

We are not allowing any clients into the practice. Animals may be admitted but only for EMERGENCY or URGENT care. ONLY ONE ADULT should bring pets to their appointment. ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD!

 

Please ring the door bell and step well back from the door to await staff. If other clients are waiting outside please remember to keep at least 2 metres apart. If possible, come by car so that you can wait somewhere warm and dry if required.

 

PAYMENTS:
For all payments we request that you pay over the telephone by card. If you are ordering medication you will be asked to call and pay before collection.

Emergency Appointments

Please call the surgery FIRST before bringing an animal in

so that we can make arrangements to see them or admit them.

We will always offer appointments based on availability and urgency but

clients who arrive without prior arrangement by telephone cannot always be seen.
