With the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we are making some changes to our opening hours and processes so that we can continue to provide EMERGENCY and URGENT care for your pet to the best of our capabilities. We are working with much reduced staffing levels so ask for your co-operation and patience.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to take on new clients at this time.

We are unable to do telephone or video consultations for non-clients.

We are now available Mon to Fri from 9am to 5pm for advice and telephone consultations and to deal with medication requests.

On Saturday mornings we will be available 9am to 11am for advice and telephone consultations ONLY.

Please read here for further details and continue to check our Facebook Page for the latest information, including details of Bank Holiday closures in May..

Michael has written some advice on how to keep your pets safe during this period. Read it here.

Current advice from the British Veterinary Association for pet owners diagnosed with Covid-19:

Restrict contact with pets as a precautionary animal health measure until more information is known about the virus.

If your pet requires care, wash your hands before and after any interaction with them and wear a face mask if possible.

Keep cats indoors if possible and try to arrange for someone else to exercise dogs, taking care to restrict any contact with the person walking your dog and making sure they practice good hygiene. This is to reduce the likelihood of your pet spreading the disease through environmental contamination on their fur – there is no evidence that pet animals play a role in the spread of the disease or that they become sick themselves.

If your pet requires emergency treatment, please do not take it to the vet but call the practice for advice
. Do not take your pet to the surgery unless the vet instructs you to. You may need to arrange for someone else to transport your pet for treatment.

Emergency Appointments

Please call the surgery FIRST before bringing an animal in

so that we can make arrangements to see them or admit them.

We will always offer appointments based on availability and urgency but

clients who arrive without prior arrangement by telephone cannot always be seen.
